The dielectric antenna has excellent specifications with a center frequency of 1575.42MHz ±3 MHz to ensure optimum signal reception. The VSWR is 1.5:1 and the bandwidth is ±5 MHz, ensuring a stable and efficient connection with GPS satellites. The 50-ohm impedance further enhances signal transmission.
The antenna is based on a 7x7cm ground plane and has a peak gain of over 3dBic. It provides excellent gain coverage, ensuring a minimum gain of -4dBic at -90° and +90° angles, covering more than 75% of the device volume. The polarization is right-handed circular polarization (RHCP), which optimizes signal reception from satellites in all directions.
The LNA/filter complements the dielectric antenna to further improve performance. With 28dB of gain (without cable) and low 1.5dB noise figure, it amplifies weak GPS signals and reduces noise interference, thereby enhancing signal clarity and accuracy.
The LNA/filter also features high-quality filters to minimize out-of-band interference. It offers a minimum of 7dB of attenuation at f0+/-20MHz, a minimum of 20dB at f0+/-50MHz, and an impressive 30dB of attenuation at f0+/-100MHz. This ensures a clear and high-quality GPS signal, even in crowded and noisy environments.
The VSWR of the LNA/filter is less than 2.0, which guarantees low return loss to maximize signal transmission efficiency and minimize signal attenuation.
